Company history

Stork Plastics Machinery has been producing injection molding machines since 1968. Upto 2008 it has been marketing its products primarily in Europe. In 2008, as part of a broader strategy it has designated North America as one of its potential markets for expansion. In order to comply with U.S. market requirements Stork has adapted its specifications of the equipment accordingly.

Stork is now actually bringing the technology back to where it once started. In the late sixties Stork produced its first injection molding machines via a license of U.S. Reed Corporation.

Now in 2008 there are still elements of the original equipment design that prove the quality of its origins. This, combined with the latest technology in hydraulics, controls, hybrid drives and special platen designs for multi-cavity thin wall products, has proven that Stork injection molding machines perform at the high end of the market.

Machine range

Stork has developed two ranges of injection moulding machines.

  • STORK N , the standard machine range. These machines are most flexible in concept and design, and fit for any task.
  • STORK S+. The STORK S+ is the successor to the popular and reliable S series. This machine range is most suited for packaging applications.

The Stork machines ranges are of a modular concept in construction and drive and rigid design. This ensures flexibility in production, but also the re-use of technology is reducing service stocks, and increases the ease of every day use for our customers. The right machine for your needs.

STORK N

The standard Stork-N injection moulding machine consists of a 5 point toggle clamping unit ranging from 1500 to 24000 KN clamping force combined with a separate injection unit ranging from 400 to 31500. ( according Euromap standards )

To meet performance requirements several drive executions are available for every machine size. By selecting the right type of execution e.g. parallel movements of the clamping unit, ejector, cores and plasticising are possible.

The direct driven plasticising motor can be adjusted to your material requirements, combined with special designed screws, to provide optimal melt quality. Also a hybrid version is available. Stork has re-invented the hydraulic drive system and can equip its machune with a ECO-mode which can reduce energy consumption.

STORK S+

The STORK S+ is the successor to the popular and reliable S series. The outstanding performance of the Stork S+ has been made possible by the development of a new drive system. By switching to the ECO mode, in many cases it is possible to achieve a substantial reduction in energy consumption. With its extremely fast dry cycle times, the Stork S+ is among the fastest injection moulding machines on the market. This machine range is most suited for packaging applications.

The STORK S+ is accumulator driven and is available in either a hybrid or full-hydraulic version. With its extremely fast dry cycle times, the STORK S+ is among the fastest injection moulding machines on the market. The Stork-S injection moulding machine has a 5 point toggle clamping system. The STORK S+ is available with clamping forces from 1000 kN up to 14,000 kN in conjunction with eight different injection types.

The STORK S+ also offers customers clamping units with larger clamping platens, various mould opening strokes (in conjunction with IML) and flexibility in the set up of 2K injection units.

The STORK S+ is equipped as standard with CDS 600 touch screen control and offers Remote Machine Service (RMS). A lot of features are standard.
