Glass fiber also Fiberglass reinforcement Major material used to reinforce plastics. Available as mat, roving, fabric, etc. It is incorporated into both thermosets and thermoplastics. The glass increases mechanical strength, impact resistance, stiffness, and dimensional stability of the matrix.
