Calcium carbonate Also referred to as ground limestone, marble dust, chalk, whiting, and calcite filler-extender. Each shares the common mineral form, calcite (CaCO3). Used as a filler and extender.

It occurs naturally in the form of minerals such as calcite, chalk, limestone, marble. have been used for many years as low cost fillers that improve mechanical properties.

A poor antiblock, is so inexpensive that it is often used at high loadings in non-clarity films, where it serves as both a filler and an antiblock.
